To Sarah Kench for the prestigious rating of Career Development Center

Sarah organized a PADI Seal program for kids around the island of Phuket on the 29th and 30th March. She is going to organize Project AWARE and PADI Seal Team courses on a regular basis year around.

The 22nd April 2008 is the International Earth Day cleanup. Scuba Cat Diving, Thailand welcomes anyone who would like to participate.

To Christophe Pace for his new AWARD received from PADI – Platinum Course Director (March 2008)

Clem, Justin, KC and Felix decided to carry their education: "we have already completed the EFR Instructor 2 days ago and we start Specialty Instructor courses next week. The Specialities we are going to do are Wreck, Deep, Nitrox, Night, Navigation and Search and Recovery."

Marty and Olivier are planning to come back to Thailand in the next couple of month to do their EFR Instructor and Speciality Instructor.

PADI release a new Specialty "The PADI Oxygen Provider course". The program is fantastic. This course is available at Scuba Cat Diving.

The biggest dive show in Asia

ADEX Dive Show, Singapore 2008. Scuba Cat Diving is going to participate to ADEX from the 18th to the 20th April 2008. If you are in Singapore during that time please come and say hello to us.

M/V Scuba Adventure is going to cruise in the marvelous southern islands of the Andaman Sea (Hin Deang, Hin Mueng, Koh Ha, Koh Phi Phi, Racha Noi, Racha Yai, Shark point, King cruiser, Anemone reef and so on). We propose two trips, one for three days and one for four days.

M/V Scuba Cat is going to be based at Racha Yai. Every Summer Season we offer a large variety of courses on our liveaboard MV Scuba Cat. Our Liveaboard is the only one staying overnight at Racha Yai Most mornings we will wake up with dolphins around the boat.

M/V Scuba Fun our day trip boat is going to Racha Yai, King Cruiser, Anemone Reef, Koh Doc Mai, Shark point, Racha Noi, Koh Phi Phi.

Thai New Year is on the 13th of April this year. Do not forget to bring your water pistols for that day. It’s certainly the funniest day of the year in Thailand, an experience that you will never forget.

Phuket: The weather and diving has been fantastic in the past few weeks. Manta Rays have been spotted frequently at the island of Racha Noi as well as the Similans and Koh Bon

Similan/Surin Islands news

Stunning visibility 40m +. Diving in this area is absolutely fantastic. Few manta rays and whale sharks have been spotted in the past few weeks. The Visibility at Koh Bon Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock is absolutely fantastic. In this area the marine life is incredible. This is the best time of the year to see mantas and whale sharks.

Tec Diving Thailand

Vince, Tec Diving Manager is going to run a Tec Deep course from the 6th of April in the Similan Islands with Renee . The Similan Islands offer some great dive sites for this kind of training. Scuba Cat Diving is the only dive centre in Phuket to offer these courses in the Similans. Tec Diving courses are available anytime.

Vince is going to teach a Rebreather course directly after the Tec Deep course. Rebreather courses are available anytime.

Compared with most "dive centers" in Thailand (a lot of them is just a website - a "Virtual Dive Company") - Scuba Cat owns their own fleet of diving boats and have been in operation since 1994. If you do a Course or a Dive Career Package with us, all your dives will be from one of our own dive boats, not "we got to do a beach dive, 'cause it is not enough students" or from a "last minute rented long tail boat, 'cause all the other boats are full".
