MV Scuba Cat is an ideal scuba diving platform. The design in stability is only found in a very large catamaran liveaboard boat. She operates amongst the protected waters of the Similan Islands making this the most "friendly" boat to be found...seasickness is rare. From only 12,000 Baht per person.

Special thank you to the PADI South-East Asia team for their effort for the development of different seminars and the organization of the PADI village at ADEX Dive show in Singapore from 18-20 of April 2008.

ADEX Singapore 18-20 April 2008

Scuba Cat Diving was present at the show in the PADI village. It was a good opportunity to meet with our customers. The dive show was very successful. Scuba Cat introduces to the public the itineraries for MV Scuba Cat and MV Scuba Adventure for the Summer Season and the season in the Similans/Koh Bon/Koh Tachai/Richelieu Rock and Surin Island.

MV Scuba Adventure is going to cruise in the southern islands (Hin Deang, Mueng, Koh Ha, Koh Phi Phi…) from the 8th of June 2008 till end of August and from November 1st to the Similans/Koh Bon/Koh Tachai/Richelieu Rock and Surin Island.

MV Scuba Cat is going to be based at the Island of Racha Yai from end of June till end of September and from November 1st to the Similan islands.

International Earth day cleanup – 22/04/08

Scuba Cat Diving Patong Thailand Earth day Racha Yai Scuba Cat Diving sent 30 divers for the cleanup day. We collected 160 Kilos of fishing nets, plastic bottles, tyres….and so on. At the end of the day we all had a BBQ at Scuba Cat and collected donations for the Project AWARE foundation.

The whole day was fantastic, well organized. Special thanks for Mood for the organization of the day.

Instructor Development Course

Successful Scuba Cat Diving IDC Phuket Thailand Congratulation to Natiala, (Slovequia) she became Instructor on the 20th of April and to Dwayne (Australia) who became EFR Instructor on the 23rd of April.

Congratulation to Christophe Pace PADI Course Director for the AWARD From PADI –Outstanding customer service and professionalism in PADI scuba instruction (April 2008).

Summer Season

MV Scuba Cat Liveaboard Similan Islands MV Scuba Cat is going to be based at the Island of Racha Yai from end of June. From 2-days/1 night to as long as you want.

Courses on MV Scuba Cat, during the summer time you have the option to do your courses on liveaboards, unique experience guaranteed. Free dives with all the PADI courses, free accommodation and food, access to ocean kayaks.

Liveaboards Similan/Koh Bon/Koh Tachai/Richelieu Rock/Surin Islands

The visibility is till over 40m. Diving is mind blowing. Our customers on our last trip with MV Scuba Adventure spent one hour with 5 meters manta ray… Remember it’s the best time of the year to see mantas and whale sharks.

Our liveaboards are operating in this area till mid May.

Now, we are in the best time of the year to get very good deals with accommodation we can get very good room for a very decent price. These deals are from now till end of October.

Coronation Day (May 5)

The Coronation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej took place on 5 May 1950. His Majesty is the ninth King of the Chakri Dynasty. On 5 May of every year, the Thai people rejoice and express their affection and loyalty to him by organizing a celebration on his coronation day.

Compared with most "dive centers" in Thailand (a lot of them is just a website - a "Virtual Dive Company") - Scuba Cat owns their own fleet of diving boats and have been in operation since 1994. If you do a Course or a Dive Career Package with us, all your dives will be from one of our own dive boats, not "we got to do a beach dive, 'cause it is not enough students" or from a "last minute rented long tail boat, 'cause all the other boats are full".
