Beacon Reef
Beacon Reef lies on the east side of the island and has the longest reef in the Similans This is a great check out or night dive as the gentle slopping reef runs down to around 22 meters. With lots of hard and soft corals the reef fish here are in abundance with the lion fish and moray eels hiding in the holes. A glance out in to the blue can prove rewarding with large dog tooth tuna and trevallys darting in to the reef to feed on the small bait fish. This is also the location of the Atlantis Wreck resting on the sloping coral wall from 12-32 meters. The wreck is packed with fish life and makes for more great photography.
Compared with most "dive centers" in Thailand (a lot of them is just a website - a "Virtual Dive Company") - Scuba Cat owns their own fleet of diving boats and have been in operation since 1994. If you do a Course or a Dive Career Package with us, all your dives will be from one of our own dive boats, not "we got to do a beach dive, 'cause it is not enough students" or from a "last minute rented long tail boat, 'cause all the other boats are full".
