Since beginning operations in 1992 Scuba Cat Diving Thailand has become Phuket Thailand’s most complete, multi national, multi lingual PADI Dive Centre. Scuba Cat Diving has British ownership with managers from Australia, France, Thailand and England. Add to those instructors from a minimum of 10 more countries including Korea, Canada, USA, Russia, Poland, Hungary, England, Holland, France, Thailand, Germany, Sweden, Belgium and Finland we always have a fun and interesting mix of divers Recognition by an internationally known organization is proof numerous technical and safety standards have been met and complied with.

Scuba Cat Diving Phuket Thailand has been a top level PADI 5 Star IDC Centre since 1997 and most recently a PADI CDC (Career Development Center) training thousands of divers from beginner to instructor and won several AWARDS.

Training Facilities

If you are planning on learning to dive, proper, convenient training facilities will go a long way in helping ensure you have a relaxed, enjoyable time while making the best use of your holiday time.

Scuba Cat Diving, Phuket Thailand has a three story classroom centre and training pool next to our main shop in the centre of the action of Patong beach, you have a swimming pool as well for the professional levels, the is 20/20m, 65ft/65ft. On the classroom is dedicated to Professional levels. All the classrooms have air conditioned, DVD player, TV and wireleass internet for your laptop computer. After 5 when the divers are back our Fun Pub provides a great place to recap the day’s fun and excitement.

Special IE option for CDC Centers

Candidates enrolled in five pre-and/or post-IDC courses (Pre-study, EFRI, Specialities etc.) OR candidates of a six-week career development program who successfully complete a PADI IDC, conducted by the CDC, may attend a PADI IE if they have been certified divers for at least six months, have logged 60 dives and are certified PADI Assistant Instructors (the AI course is part of the new IDC).

CDC candidates who successfully complete an IE and subsequently meet the 100-logged-dive certification requirement will be certified as PADI Instructors when their paperwork has been processed by PADI.

Boat Owner / Operators

The dive boat is an essential and extremely important element of your ocean experience and a dive centre operating its own vessels is better able to ensure your comfort, safety and enjoyment. Boat ownership is truly a mark of a superior, professional operation. Scuba Cat Diving has been involved in boating services in Phuket since 1990 and presently own and operate four dive vessels including two liveaboards.

Free Dives/ Free liveaboard experience

Compared to other dive centers, Scuba Cat Diving, Thailand owns their own fleet of dive boats! Due to this, we offer our Career Candidates Liveaboard experience on one of Scuba Cat's own Liveaboard boats in the Andaman Sea and up to 200 Free Dives!!

Environmental Issues

Protection and enhancement of the marine environment is a duty and obligation for all dive operators. They must show the way both by action, education and commitment in all activities.

Scuba Cat Diving, Thailand has long led the Phuket dive community with active involvement in many environmental initiatives: sinking of Marla’s Mystery creating Phuket’s first artificial reef (Nov. 2000), this year celebrating the tenth anniversary being local coordinator for International Reef Clean-up day, Phuket’s only active REEF CHECK team, active membership in both GREEN FINS and GO ECO projects and ongoing assistance with the Phuket Marine Biological Centre in conducting fish and coral surveys.

In addition, we are a Padi 5 Star CDC Center and became Phuket 's first PADI National Geographic Dive Center and Thailand's first Go Eco Operator. We don’t just talk about it- we do it!

Staff

Scuba Cat Diving, Thailand has two highly experienced, well respected Course Directors, Scuba Cat Diving, Phuket Thailand's Instructor team is very experienced , most of them are PADI IDC Staff Instructors and PADI Master Instructors and have been teaching for several years.

Compared with most "dive centers" in Thailand (a lot of them is just a website - a "Virtual Dive Company") - Scuba Cat owns their own fleet of diving boats and have been in operation since 1994. If you do a Course or a Dive Career Package with us, all your dives will be from one of our own dive boats, not "we got to do a beach dive, 'cause it is not enough students" or from a "last minute rented long tail boat, 'cause all the other boats are full".
