Underwater Videographer Speciality

Have you ever wanted to show everyone what adventures you have when you go diving? Are your photographs just not exciting enough anymore? The PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty Course is designed to familiarise you with basic underwater video hardware, as well as developing your knowledge in the use, maintenance, and diving techniques required to produce quality underwater video footage.This course is invaluable to anyone thinking of taking a video camera into the water. Let us show you how to get the video footage your dives deserve.

What do you need to start?

PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying scuba diving certification from another organization)
Minimum age: 10 years old
Own Video Camcorder and housing

What will you do?

You'll learn about selecting, maintaining and caring for your underwater video equipment as well as safe diving practices while on a videography dives. Further, you'll learn videography fundamentals, such as exposure, focus, shot types, moves, story line and shot sequencing. Then you'll get to put your knowledge to actual use during your three open water dives. You will develop safe diving practices while engaged in underwater videography and be able to demonstrate how to properly set up, maintain, and disassemble a video camera, housing and lights. Once filming is completed, you will be able to organise and edit your footage to tell a story of your dive, avoiding basic videography errors and demonstrating good videography techniques.

At Scuba Cat we teach all of our diver level courses in small groups to ensure that you receive the attention that you deserve. All our courses are taught to PADI Standards.

The price for this Padi Videography Specialty Course including certification and instructor fees is 15,000 Baht

What can you do next?

Your Adventures In Diving Underwater Videographer Adventure Dive may count towards your Underwater Videographer Specialty course at instructor discretion. This Specialty course also counts toward one of the five required specialities for the Master Scuba Diver Certification. Or why not join us for some day trip diving or even a liveaboard trip?

Compared with most "dive centers" in Thailand (a lot of them is just a website - a "Virtual Dive Company") - Scuba Cat owns their own fleet of diving boats and have been in operation since 1994. If you do a Course or a Dive Career Package with us, all your dives will be from one of our own dive boats, not "we got to do a beach dive, 'cause it is not enough students" or from a "last minute rented long tail boat, 'cause all the other boats are full".
